Shad is a type of fish that can be caught in rivers during rainy weather, primarily in the spring and fall seasons. It is also occasionally found in garbage cans. This fish is used in various recipes and is required for the River Fish Bundle in the Community Center. Selling it can provide a modest income, with its price varying depending on its size and quality. It can also be kept in a fish pond, where it will reproduce.

This method can be done using an existing character and is convenient but will cost some gold every time you want an item.
Spawning Using the Character MethodTo spawn Shad while using a character, you will need to create a new character and name it with the item id with brackets like this [706]. You will then receive the Shad item when you speak to a villager. This method is easy and free but cannot be performed on an existing character and you will be stuck with that name unless its edited.
