It is primarily used as a resource for composting, which aids in the growth of crops when combined with thatch in a compost bin. It can also be consumed for a small amount of nourishment, though this action will damage the player's health. Additionally, it can be used to tame Dung Beetles, which produce oil and fertilizer.
